A new plan would provide a permanent solution for Newark’s water crisis.
Newark began replacing lead lines in March, but the plan was expected to take nearly a decade and cost more than $75 million. The new bond agreement with the county will add to that funding and will cut the timeline down to between 24 and 30 months.
