As President Obama travels to Capitol Hill to meet with Republicans and Democrats to negotiate a budget compromise, we look in our Vault to 2009 when Obama headed to the Democrat-controlled Congress to garner bipartisan support for economic stimulus. No Republicans supported the bill when it passed the next day. Alexis Simendinger and John Dickerson discuss the effort at bipartisanship.
