This Week on Washington Week: Horrors and Hope After One Year of COVID-19
Our show this week will be a look at the COVID-19 pandemic one year in—how far we've come and where we're going. The Biden administration pushed through a massive $1.9 trillion bill through Congress, and the president signed it this afternoon. President Biden will also give his first prime-time speech tonight marking the anniversary of when the World Health Organization declared COVID-19 a pandemic.
We've assembled a panel that joined us last year at this same time to mark what they said then and saw coming, how it played out, and what happens next.
Susan Davis of NPR is our moderator this week.
- Yasmeen Abutaleb, National Health Policy Reporter for the Washington Post
- Eamon Javers, Washington Correspondent for CNBC
- Toluse Olorunnipa, National Political Reporter for the Washington Post
- Susan Page, Washington Bureau Chief for USA Today
The conversation continues on the Washington Week Extra, streaming live on Facebook, YouTube and our website at 8:30PM.
