It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year

Sutton Foster singing

Actor and songwriter Eddie Pola frequently collaborated with orchestra leader George Wyle to produce memorable songs from the 1950s and 60s, including a string of popular hits recorded by Doris Day.  But their best-known song may be the Christmas classic first recorded by Andy Williams in 1963, “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year.”  In this song, Pola and Wyle paint a charming, traditional portrait of Christmas, replete with caroling, Dickensian “ghost stories,” and convivial gatherings and mistletoe, to illustrate the magic of the season.  This arrangement is by Emmy® Award-winning composer Sam Cardon.
