The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences announced today that FRONTLINE, the acclaimed PBS investigative series, has earned 15 News and Documentary Emmy Award nominations. These nominations recognize the breadth of the series’ domestic and international investigative reporting – from the escalation of the U.S. fight against Al Qaeda in Yemen, to the mass confinement of migrant children under the Trump administration, to the promise and perils of artificial intelligence. 

FRONTLINE’s 15 nods contributed to PBS’s total of 48 nominations — making PBS the most nominated network.

Of these nominations, FRONTLINE was recognized with two nominations for its documentary in collaboration with NPR, Coal’s Deadly Dust, and for its documentary in collaboration with BBC News Arabic, Iraq’s Secret Sex Trade.

The 41st Annual News and Documentary Emmy Awards will be held virtually on Tuesday, September 22, 2020. FRONTLINE has won 93 Emmy Awards to date.
