How to be a Flea-Market Fashionista
Some people flock to flea markets for the antique furniture or rare art. Others head out in search of sports memorabilia and collectibles. But for the fashionista, flea markets mean one thing – fabulous vintage fashion.
Vintage clothing, jewelry, and accessories are a lovely way to give a nod to styles-past while still showing off your own unique look. For your next cocktail party, why not mix a vintage clutch and 1960s costume jewelry with your little black dress? With fall fast approaching, a vintage coat or pair of boots would also make fabulous additions to anyone's closet.
As we saw Miller demonstrate, bakelite bangles can be a great addition to any outfit. They are a wonderful example of a piece that is both instantly recognizable as being from a generation past, yet they never go out of style. Some other trendy vintage items to look out for are lockets, handbags, and signet rings.
So whether you want go vintage head-to-toe or mix and match with modern pieces, flea markets should be on every stylish gal and guy’s must-list when adding to their wardrobe.
