6 Things That Need to Happen in Poldark Season 3
The close of Poldark Season 2 dealt us another (albeit not literal) cliffhanger. Judas, Poldark! As we eagerly await new episodes, and ponder what’s next, here are six things that absolutely have to happen in Season 3!

1. Aunt Agatha teaches George Warleggan to respect his elders.
George Warleggan would be mistaken to think that the formidable Aunt Agatha will sit tidily by the fire with her porridge and cards. While it’s certainly not a major plot point, we still absolutely need to see this granny gangster put George in his place. A place that’s not Trenwith.

2. Elizabeth’s baby is born with a Poldark-style scar on his face.
It doesn’t take Aunt Agatha’s tarot cards to foresee that Elizabeth’s baby might have more Poldark blood coursing through its veins than is fit, right, or proper. If so, conventional wisdom suggests it’s not if but when George will find out the baby’s paternity, leaving us to wonder just how he’ll make everyone suffer when he does.

3. Dr. Dwight returns from war to Caroline (and Horace).
If we learned anything at all from Downton Abbey Season 2, it’s that war and its aftermath can wreak havoc on true love. We need to see these two (three) reunited no later than the Season 3 premiere, unscathed by Dwight’s naval adventures and ready to distribute oranges and ACL repairs among the people of Cornwall!

4. Ross gets his tricorn out of his saddle, so to speak.
Ross, finally understanding the true depth of his betrayal of Demelza, vowed that Elizabeth “will never come between us again.” Sure, Cornwall loves an optimist, but…see #2 above. Either way, he’s going to need to toil extra hard at Wheal Marriage and treat Demelza’s happiness as if it were a prize far greater than copper.

5. Demelza forgives but doesn’t forget.
Just checking…we all still want Ross and Demelza to be together, right? In that spirit, yes, they should reunite in a steamy cliff-kiss and give it a real go. But Demelza needs to remember Ross’ weakness and Elizabeth’s betrayal. And keep her left hook at the ready.

6. Copper!
Dare we hope that Grace or some other Poldark-owned Wheal will yield that ever-elusive element? Maybe Season 3 will unearth the motherlode!
