- Life after the war is pretty interesting.
There's a lot of social change.
There's a lot of things that will be similar, but the vet world will change enormously.
- I want everybody to look forward in the spirit of 1945 to a new world unstained by war and hatred.
(bubbly music) - I hope that Helen and James and the kids get to have some fun.
It's been very serious in their life for a long time.
James being away at war, James struggling with brucellosis.
Helen being there, feeling very torn with the family.
Now, Jenny's going off, it's been quite emotional, quite heavy, obviously with the war.
I'd love to see them having fun doing sort of what James and Helen do best, but with these two little people in tow, that'd be great.
- I think moving beyond season six into seven and beyond, I think James now would love to get a place of their own where they can raise little Jimmy and Rosie, perhaps have a garden.
It would be another big step as a family, having a house of their own so I think that's definitely something that they would love to do.
(kiss smacking) - I miss going out on calls and things, especially with Nick who plays James.
I always miss our episodes together where it's like we're getting up to something on a farm somewhere ridiculous and hilarious.
So that would be fun.
- The joy of having everybody home, which in their case, they're very lucky.
They've got this surrogate family all come back.
So I think having everybody around the table will be good.
(laughing) - I want to hear children laughing in Skeldale.
I want love for Siegfried in all its difficulty and imperfection, (bubbly music continues) not perfection.
- I would like Tristan in series seven to just continue to sort of be the person that he's becoming in the community, helping out Maggie in The Drovers, helping out the person, not just the animal on these calls.
And yeah, see where things go with Charlotte.
(bubbly music continues) - I think there's lots of exciting things that could happen.
