(soft music) - That James is a builder and we see that professionally, personally, building relationships, looking after his family, becoming a better vet, becoming a better professional, but also he is very practical.
He can change his tire, he can put things together.
He can also be playful at times and doesn't take himself too seriously.
Doesn't mind being the butt of the jokes on occasion.
I think that's a really sweet trait as well.
- I love how much she loves her kind of pocket for the world and village of Darby, and there's the community and she looks after everybody and she takes care of things.
I love that about her.
I love that she gets to cuddle lots of animals.
If James is doing a really intense operation, I'm usually there as like chief cuddler and I love her wardrobe.
- Despite a slightly prickly exterior, deep down, he's a massive softie with a huge capacity for love.
He loves his family deeply, even though he is not related to most of them.
He never bears grudges, mostly because he's too absentminded to remember the slight that leads to him.
- He lights up when he's interested in a topic, particularly when he bounces off someone like Siegfried.
He's also very funny, even when he doesn't mean to be, usually when he's not aware of it.
The other thing I love about Carmody is his fashion sense.
Of course, he has his iconic bow ties, which I absolutely love.
- She is very much the center of the community and takes her job is probably owning the biggest house in the vicinity.
Seriously.
She lacks her own family, but she's sort of become very attached and adopted by and adopted the vet practice and all its practitioners.
- Things I like about Mrs. Hall, she can cook.
She can really cook.
She can rustle around in the larder and come out with something fabulous.
She takes the time to really see people.
She's the person who notices if something's up, not much gets past her.
Mrs. Hall's found her place at Skeldale.
It's a home and it's a home that she's helped make.
