- So we're gonna play a game called "What's in the Vet Bag?"
(jaunty music) Oh, this is a hoof knife in the very first outdoor scene we did.
Andy Barrett, our on set vet, gave me a hoof knife.
Written on the wooden handle is the word D Sinclair, who was the original real-life Siegfried Farnon.
I got to hold something that belonged to the man I was playing.
Oh, classic.
This is the word game that Anna and I have played forever and ever.
This is a very special prop.
We've only got one.
(cheerful music) - Hi, I'm Nicholas Ralph and let's see what's inside the vet bag.
Siegfried's vet's bag.
(laughs softly) No way.
(cheerful music) A little model airplane I made for a pregnant Helen.
And inside pregnant Helen was little Jimmy.
(gentle music) But I remember this sequence of scenes because they were so lovely and it led into James leaving on the bus with a picture of them on their wedding day.
So it's such a sweet series of scenes and a lovely memory.
I'll put it back in.
(laughs genuinely) Protected.
Onto the next.

(shocks softly) Oh my God.

(shocks softly) These are little Jimmy's wellies.
My dad gave them to Jimmy for Christmas.
And of course, the emotional bit was they were mine.
They were Helen's little wellies when she was a little girl.

Oh, this is actually from James and Helen's bedroom.
A picture of the two of them from their wedding day.
Rosie Page and Jim, the real James and Helen's children were at the wedding.
It was so emotional for us and we sort of really wanted to do it justice and you couldn't even imagine how they must feel.
They said we'd done them proud.
It was a really emotional day.
