- And this was maybe day two or three.
It's a national park area that we used to film this beautiful waterfall.
It was really freezing, I mean you're just in the water shivering, and they're like, all right turning sound speed, then you have to action, pretend, I love this, amazing, wow it's so good, cut.
Get me out of the water.
That was quite challenging.
- I wrangled a bull, I drove a tractor.
Not just any tractor, a tractor from the 1930s.
- Can I have a go?
I've always wanted to drive a tractor.
- I wouldn't.
- I won't.
I've also driven a really old Ford van that they told me had just been doing some huge film and there were only four of them in the world, and it was like a little tiny tin van that I had to get up a hill.
So all these things would never have happened without All Creatures.
(laughing) (horn honking) - Isn't that the lovely Miss Alderson.
I've never played so sort of carefree and fun loving and just happy, optimistic and positive.
I've never seen a man shout at a cow before.
- I'm glad you're enjoying yourself.
- Well if you can't enjoy yourself then what's the point?
You can do like these heavy dramas where you're just sort of think oh god like I'm going home completely drained, but just at the end of every day playing Tristan I'm just yeah I'm just feeling really happy and it's a really nice feeling to go home with.

Did he shout at you?
- Screamed the house down.
- It's been a delight all the way through, bringing those things to life.
We've had a lot of fun delving into the script and working out how we want to play the scenes.
Everyone's got very strong instincts on how they want to play their characters.
- The scripts made me laugh.
In the first instance I believed them, and I thought the spirit of them was beautiful and real.
Don't worry, we're going to look after him.
- [Man] Cut.
- I think everyone just feels so lucky because this cast and crew is super hard working and so on it, but they've also got that other side of being really easy to chat to and having a laugh and fun.
And you see people working, working hard and doing their job and doing it really, really well.
You can't help, but be inspired by that.
