James & Helen: A Perfect Match
Season 2
short | 02:31 | CC
"Anything that James does, he wants to do with Helen." The feelings between James and Helen are undeniable -- just ask Nicholas Ralph and Rachel Shenton!
- It's a very slow burn of this relationship developing, this beautiful relationship developing throughout the series.
- Helen and James care about each other an incredible amount that's evident and you know they have a lot of fun together.
There's great rapport between the two of them.
- They just have such fun when they're together.
Anything that James does, he wants to do it with Helen because ultimately it will be more fun as long as Helen's with him.
- Ah.
Yeah.
- Oh, James I'm so sorry I didn't see you there.
- I probably had worst flung at me.
(laughing) - I think they share the same values, like the same fundamental values, family, compassion, the love of the animals and the land and the world that they live in is very important to them.
- I need to make a decision but whatever I decide I'll be letting people down.
- Ugh James, why didn't you say something?
- They challenge one another.
Helen's there to give James a little push in the right direction sometimes, and James is there to listen as well sometimes.
I want to be with you.
- Ultimately they tell the truth, and they tell the truth to each other and I think that's super important.
- When are you gonna stop this nonsense and get wed?
(laughing) - Why are you laughing?
- You not serious are ya?
It comes out of the blue, even for James, again he's kind of nudged in the right direction by Siegfried and is taken completely blindsided by it.
And what do you mean engaged, I've only just started to kind of seeing this girl and I don't have a house, and I don't have all these things and Siegfried just kinda puts that all to bed and says "It doesn't matter."
- Caution, often a virtue, but you carry it too far.
You need to take a chance, lash out a little.
Carpe some diem.
- Well you do sometimes overthink, see catastrophe around every corner.
- It's not something I want to do.
- Then don't.
- Don't?
- Overthink.
He's inadvertently encouraged by Helen again.
- Again, yeah, yeah.
- You know, the conversation's evolving nicely, and they're having a nice back and forth and it's kind of lighthearted, a bit bantiful.
- Yeah they having of banter there.
- Yeah.
What's the worst that could happen?
- You'd say no.
- To what?
- Asking you to marry me.
- Well then it tumbles into the second part of the scene it becomes a lot more serious.
- I'm not afraid to say it.
I want to spend the rest of my life with you.
- We leave them in a much healthier place and they're together, and they're solid and they voice their commitment, and feelings to each other, which is lovely and is a really lovely place for the future hopefully.
- I love you.
- I love you too.
