Looking Ahead to Season 3

(gentle music) - My hopes for James in season three, if we look back at the end of season one, he's quite heartbroken and the end of this season, he's now engaged.

So let's hope it carries on on that trajectory, that we see more good times for James and Helen.

- A lot of hopes for Helen in season three.

It's a new chapter, completely new chapter.

We know she'll be making a life with James.

She'll be moving from Heston Grange, where she's lived all her life, to Skeldale.

It's huge.

Where will we be sleeping?

- Siegfried's letitng us have the bedsitter at the top of the house.

- I think it'll be tricky at first.

I think there'll a bit of adjusting.

We might even see a different side to her that haven't seen before.

You might see an even freer version.

Which we've seen glimpses of it, we see that with James, but my hope is that we get to see even more of that and even more fun just because she stepped away a little bit.

Nothing stays the same.

It's always changing and maybe we've just got to change with it.

- James, I'd like your opinion.

- And I think professionally, the next steps would be partner, that can be a little while off as well but I just hope we see him continue to develop.

- It's about time you started plowing your own furrow.

- All of our characters at the end of season two are looking forward to a bit of a change in their lives moving forward into series three.

We should feel they're ready to take the next step forward in life in whatever way that may be.

- Let's just attempt to enjoy one another's company this year shall we?

- He's finally, truly passed his exams.

It's never gonna happen but my hopes for season three is that maybe Siegfried lays off him a little bit.

Just leaves him to it a little bit.

But we know that's not gonna happen.

So I'll just say that hopefully he carries on having fun.

I like the fact that Siegfried is a good horse doctor.

I'll be out there straightaway.

And I like Siegfried's expertise.

I like him being good at things.

I want him to continue to be impressed and attracted to strong women.

- Siegfried, you are dreadful - In season three, I hope she's able to reconcile with her son.

I think that would be a wonderful thing.

Especially given the prospect of the political situation in the world.

Oh, gimme one afternoon with that man and his ridiculous mustache, I'd have it all sorted.

There are some frightening things on the horizon but I think life is good and is opening up for her.

I hope she makes some great decisions regarding her heart.

The future carries both darkness and light.
