Tristan Grows Up...?
Season 3
short | 02:40 | CC
He's come a long way since Season 1! Relive Tristan's journey from blithe little brother to a fun-loving but responsible grown up.
(crowd chattering) (bouncy music) (door slamming) - Hey!
- Whatever you heard, it's not true.
I didn't do it.
(metal clinking) - [Siegfried] Tristan!
Tristan!
- Tristan.
- Shh.
(paper rustling) (knuckles knocking) (Tristan snorts) (Tristan groaning) Oh, God.
(phone jingling) - Darrowby two two nine seven.
(bouncy music continues) - [Siegfried] Tristan!
- I was never here.
- Come on, drink up and we'll go to The Drovers.
(mouth slurping) Maggie, where's it all gone?
This was full an hour ago.
(Maggie exhales) - Is it possible that you have Cranford salve mixed up with a stool sample?
- No one gets to be rude to Mrs.
H.
- Quite right.
Well played.
(coat rustling) - Done.
Oh, what do you say, Jim?
Fancy a pint?
- Don't let James drink too much.
Want him walking Helen down that aisle tomorrow.
Not staggering.
Where's James?
- I confess the details are a little hazy.
Well, if you can't enjoy yourself, then what's the point?
I'm a catch.
(lively piano music) - You're like a magpie, flitting from one shiny object to the next.
- Good for a giggle and not much else.
- If you want something more out, you've gotta put a little more in.
- And though you may stray from the path once in a while, you're a wonderful, loving boy, with a warm heart, and a good head on his shoulders.
- He's a stray.
Got no one to take care of him.
- Maybe he's not as daft as he looks.
- Tris.
The state of this place.
How can you find anything in here?
- Organized chaos, old chap.
- I suppose you'll have to learn the hard way.
- [Florence] Hello.
Help.
(metal implements clatter) How on earth do you work with it like this?
- Florence.
You need to trust me.
I've got it.
- Tris'.
You're cleaning.
- Emergency operation yesterday.
I didn't have clean equipment.
I nearly lost a dog.
- But you saved it.
- Yes, I suppose I did.
- Then you did well.
And I want to hear all about that over a pint later.
- Thanks, boss.
- Does this mean you may be buying a round tonight, Tris?
- Actually, I'm saving up for something.
(car engine rumbling) (horn squawks) What do you think?
(door slamming) - You got it.
- That's very industrious of you.
- I could take you for a drive, if you like.
- Let's see what this lady can do.
- Just drive.
(door slamming) - Oh, I've always wanted to do this.
Come on then.
(engine sputtering) - Run cow?
- That's Rod's best milker.
- You know we've been chasing you across the Dales.
- I promise, that is not what I had in mind.
- That was, by far, the best date I've ever been on.
The only person holding you back is you, Tristan Farnon.
(bouncy music) - We did it.
We saved the day.
- And got the girl?
- That, well, a gentleman never tells.
But yes.
Yes, I did.
We were just kissing back there.
