(bright music) - [Ashley Pharaoh] Passepartout is a wonderful character.
He sees himself very much as a rolling stone, a man without any sense of belonging.
- [Ibrahim Koma] From the beginning, he's already got lots of difficulties to trust other people.
But he's very smart and he will always find a way to get what he wants.
- [David Tennant] Passepartout has a resourcefulness and a dash of courage and anarchy, which Fogg lacks.
- Passepartout is quite a difficult one to figure out because he's lived so many lives and that on the one hand is intriguing to her and on the other hand it's deeply frustrating.
- What are you doing following me?
- Interesting things happen when I follow you.
- [Leonie Benesch] During the journey, she discovers that he is a deeply caring, intelligent man who has actually seen a lot of the world.
So there's a lot to learn from him.
- [Ibrahim Koma] Through this adventure, Passepartout is going to get more mature, creating a relationship in which he can really rely.
Not relate, but he can rely on them.
- [David Tennant] They form a bond.
They become fairly necessary to each other.
- [Simon Crawford-Collins] Ibrahim is a very cool foil to David's Phileas.
- [Ibrahim Koma] Passepartout and Fogg team up because they're totally different and that makes them complete.
- Throw those two together and make one person come out of their shell and see the world and make another person go "Um actually, I I've got to accept that I like these people."
It's a joy watching them together.
