- The fact that we're filming where the Durrells actually lived adds an additional sort of excitement.
- We quite often get to go to places that you just wouldn't, if you were on holiday, you might not find.
- We want the viewer to experience as much beauty and wonder of Corfu as they possibly can.
- One of my favorite spots is the last village where we filmed a lot of the Corfu town scenes.
It's like an old wild west in town.
Having everyone dressed up and you just feel like you're there back in the day.
- Sven's house has always been the favorite of mine.
He grows his own vegetables that we put in a nice little vegetable patch, dress logs outside, make it look like he's been busy about the place.
- Sven's house is the only place we use the crane and go right up and get like a big nice bird's eye view, which always just looks gorgeous.
- And we also revisit the Venetian Pier, and it's this stunning stone pier that juts out and you can see the Greek mainland opposite it.
- The joy of being able to find places that people don't know exist there, that you unearth the most wonderful vistas, and experiences for the viewer and for the Durrells.
