(gentle pleasant music) - Series six for me is the best series yet.
I always say that, but I truly, truly believe that this is because the storylines are so powerful for everyone.
- With the series, there's always a great mix of tones.
So you've got lots to look forward to in terms of merriment, but you've also got the dark stories.
You've got some really emotional stories for our characters and Geordie will be faced with his past.
- [Geordie] Mr.
Richards.
- [Daisy ] He'll be brought together with an old friend, Johnny.
And through that, we will test Will and Geordie's relationship because Will can never understand what he went through during the war.
- You think you know somebody within a marriage and then something happens whereby you don't know somebody.
She's unsure as to who this person is, who she's looking at.
- Excuse me a minute.
- One of the benefits of being on series six is we know these characters really well now, and we can dig into their backstories and we can build on the history that we all know about them.
And some of the history we don't know about them.
- Geordie has seen the worst in people and how the world shouldn't be.
- That's when I love them the most.
That ultimately beyond the pain and the suffering, they will always come back together and they are our family and they always will be I think.
