(dramatic music) - I would describe "Guilt" as a high-end, captivating, thrilling, and stylish new Scottish drama.
- There's quite a history of black comedy in Scotland, the ability to see the comic in the evil and the darkness.
It's not an unusual genre in Scotland, the two sides of the coin.
- This taps into that very specific Scottish humor and a very dry way of looking at the world.
- What defines a Scottish attitude, if you like, in filmmaking is, I think, a kind of irreverence, a sense of humor that's very dark, very irascible, unpredictable, offbeat, and I think that's what this show has at its heart, is an unpredictability to it.
- It's definitely got that Scottish dark humor.
- The behind closed doors thing, you never know what goes on and this is just it.
You get a wee glimpse with this at some wonderfully drawn characters.
Funny, but quite dark as well, you know.
- Bad things happen, but it's kind of got humor and heart and it feels real, but also it's very cinematic.
Robbie has made a show that doesn't look like anything else on television.
- We're trying to take risks.
We've tried to do something bold and really original.
And I think that's also the heart of the Scottish identity, trying to pursue something that's bigger.
