(whimsical music) - Some of the main miniatures of the production are the dolls.
And we had a doll maker make dolls of every character in the book.
Their faces are portraits, sculpted and painted by Julie Campbell, doll maker.
They are actually portraits of the actors who play them.
So, this is Geoff Streatfeild and this is Hayley Squires.
Hayley plays Cornelia and Jeff, Frans.
- Ellie, our wonderful costume trainee made miniature versions of the costumes which was a labor of love in it's own right.
So they are a work of art.
- They're all exact replicas as far as we could get them.
The fun bit was putting the tiny, tiny details in.
Like on Cornelia, I embroidered her apron strings to match exactly how she wears in real life.
Being inventive really, really thinking about how to portray it in miniature form that was what was really fun.
