Season 2
short | 02:50 | CC
The cast and crew give a refresher on where we left off at the end of Season 1 and tease some things to expect in Season 2.
(upbeat music) - At the end of Season 1, she's laid the mystery of her father's death to rest and her detective agency is up and running.
- Just to be clear, I will be charging the full going rate.
- I would expect nothing less.
- She's established, she wants to build on her business, but we are always going to throw obstacles and dilemmas and problems at her because that would be the truth of it.
She's a woman in a man's world.
- Our contract clearly states payment in full on delivery.
- You will be paid at a time agreeable for me young lady.
- I can't lie.
I really want to see her in the center of some seriously awesome Victorian style action sequences.
I'm like, yeah, karate chops, leg kicks, karate kick someone in the butt already, but let's just take this further.
(ladies gasp) As we saw at the end of the series, she walks off into the sunset with the Duke so we don't know where that relationship's going.
And at the beginning of Season 2, it's only a couple of weeks later, so they're a bit more friendly and maybe there's a bit more of a twinkle in their eyes.
Nothing's happened, but it's definitely, there's something in the air.
- May I offer you some constructive criticism?
- No.
- At the end of Season 1, we leave William and Scarlet skipping off down the street on route to their meal together.
And when we dive into Season 2, we see that the relationship has moved on.
- I'm both surprised and impressed.
- Compliment and an insult in one, that's quite something even for you, Eliza.
- The relationship between Eliza and William in Season 1 it's clearly will they, won't they, there's a spark of interest and what we see now, it has intensified.
- After all, we are in competition, are we not?
- He has to embrace some new characters too that sometimes help but often hinder him.
He has a new boss, so Sterling, his old boss, died in Season 1.
- I just wanted to come by and introduce myself and... - I know exactly who you are.
- And on the face of it, this new boss, Superintendent Munro he is like a gift.
- You know it was good to hear that my own man was from the old hometown.
- You're from Glasgow, sir?
- Dragged up from the tenements, you?
- Ah, workhouse, it was a long time ago.
- They seem to have so much in common, they're both Scots.
He's from the wrong side of the tracks too.
- Time for another?
- It's always time for another, sir.
