- I adore Aunt Agatha.
She has her own integrity to herself and to the Poldark family.
He was born a Poldark.
- She's this old women who's rattling around Trenwith.
- And she says I was born here and I will die here.
- Since you wish it, I will change my name.
- Good boy.
- To Geoffrey Charles Francis Poldark.
- The two remaining Poldarks, both of whom really hate George have such a great relationship together.
- I need no permission to visit my own family.
- Quite right, boy.
- She just has given the show so much light.
- [Caroline] Aunt Agatha tells the truth as she sees it.
- [Debbie] She can say the things that nobody dares to say.
- Impending arrival brings fresh travail.
- She truly is the voice of reason.
She almost has this kind of spiritual quality with her tarot cards.
- [Aunt Agatha] Purpose, fate.
- [Debbie] And she's always there at the forefront of making these dire predictions.
- He's coming sooner than we think.
- If us younger characters stopped to actually listen to what she had to say, we probably wouldn't make as many mistakes as we do.
- Everyone assumes she's deaf and so, people speak as if she's not there.
That enables, we, the audience, the hear things that perhaps we're not supposed to hear.
- My dear, you must see what I'm thinking.
- Oh, we do.
I describe her as the chorus which is of course, what you have in a Greek tragedy, the person who is commenting on the goings on.
Francis was never late but Francis did not assume Sunday worship was conducted purely for his benefit.
- She is just the most fabulous energy to have on set.
- There's no better person on the planet to talk to than Caroline.
She's just so giving and so informative and so articulate.
- Especially against Ross.
- She's become a very close confidante.
She's so much fun and she's taught me so much, not just about acting but about life and love.
- I'm going to cry.
