- [Ellise] We're here on this beautiful beach.
It's called Holywell Bay.
It's amazing, especially for Morwenna.
She's the daughter of a dean, very dutiful.
She grows up in a town, so to actually be here, it's absolutely breathtaking.
She's just bowled over by how beautiful everything is.
- This is the best beach in the world.
Is that not Aunt Demelza's brother?
- [Joss] This is a really important scene for Drake and Morwenna.
It's the first time they meet on the beach.
And this is going to be a signature place for their relationship.
- Of course, you'll know all about the Holy Well.
Drake and Demelza are both similar in the way that they're free spirits.
- [Joss] He delights in the pleasures of the natural world, and Morwenna is infected by that too.
- [Ellise] With Drake around, she's sort of discovering more about nature and just being in this setting.
They're like kindred spirits.
(upbeat music) We're shooting a scene where Drake takes Geoffrey Charles and Morwenna to this cave, with a holy well in it.
- [Joss] Action.
I'm pretty sure that when Winston Graham wrote "the cathedral" he means this enormous cave behind us.
Action!
- [Harry] The two characters fall in love for the first time.
- There are sparks flying.
I think for Morwenna, it's all about the simple things in life.
So the fact that he gives her this beautiful hand-made shell bracelet is an absolute treasure and it means so much.
It shows her that Drake's a kind, thoughtful soul.
- He comes across this girl that makes him wanna' become a man, and learn how to take care of himself and her, and falls head over heels, which is really lovely.
- [Joss] These two people are from different sides of the track, different classes, they shouldn't really be mixing.
They certainly shouldn't be flirting or anything else.
- Dare me to kiss ye'?
- Not with Geoffrey Charles here.
