Season 2
short | 02:51 | CC
Cast and crew deconstruct the filming episode where Amsterdam’s classical musicians are targeted by a killer.
(dramatic music) - [Piet] Fleur Mass, acid-attack victim, died overnight.
- "Payback in Amsterdam," someone seems to be targeting female, classical musicians.
We find out fairly early on that this could be to do with historic sexual crimes that, maybe some of the women, want to come forward and out the perpetrators (locks click) (door creaks) - Got enough locks there, Arjan?
(feet stepping) - Probably not.
My role is the journalist who really investigates and finds all the answers.
I am, it's the closest thing to what Piet has as a best friend because Piet's really a loner.
- Criminal underworld infiltrates classical music orchestra.
It's not your typical area of concern.
It must be serious 'cause you look worried.
- Well, I have every reason to be worried, and so do you.
He's really going deep into something that he can't protect himself with.
The only thing he can do is protect Piet.
- So, the character that I'm playing, Anouk, is, she manages a very trendy nightclub, a supper club, in the heart of Amsterdam.
And then, just her closeness to the case begins to seem a lot clearer than it did it first.
- This about Fleur?
I saw it on the news.
- Did you know her well?
- Not that well, to be honest.
People booked her for private performances.
We had some here.
- Just performances?
- I don't know.
- Bodecker runs a series of nightclubs, but it emerges that these nightclubs are used as a front.
- This is my debut as an actress, but I'm very happy that they cast a real cellist.
Fleur is the Dutch star-cellist of Holland.
She is a bit of a prodigy, and she has a relationship with Femke.
- Who's Femke?
- She's my ex.
- It's a very personal journey for Lucienne in this one.
- Femke feels quite confused about seeing Lucienne again because she broke up with her in the first season, and she didn't do that quite nicely.
Fleur has a big private life, secrets from me, and she's been murdered and I am devastated, but I don't show that easily.
(dramatic orchestral music) - There's quite a lot of action in this episode.
(foot kicks) (Piet moans) (knee smashes) (Piet moans) I take a bit of a beating.
- The drama of the episode, really, is will the team get to find and out the perpetrators before the perpetrators get to silence the women?
- They'll stop at nothing.
- Neither will we.
(dramatic orchestral music fades)
