(puppy whimpers) - [Albert] Who's, who's this?
- There was a day on set, all the crew were feeling rather tired, so the producers decided that we should probably audition some puppies because a puppy arrived on set that was no longer a puppy, so we had to reshoot basically a scene, so it began by auditioning puppies, we had a couple of days with a whole batch of puppies coming in to visit until we finally settled on - Prince.
Oh god I love Prince man, Prince is, Prince was a little, he's a Westie isn't he?
- Yeah.
- He was about that big when we met him and he just lived in my coat for a while.
- [Duchess of Buccleuch] Good morning Your Majesty.
(soft music) - What is quite hilarious in Prince's first scene, there's a scene where the Duchess of Buccleuch buys Prince, not known as prince, known as Ila and, and he goes to the bathroom on Victoria's bed and the point is he's not house trained, so in order to do the scene we had to obviously leave a puddle on the bed and put the dog in it.
Unbeknownst to us what we've actually done is trained the dog to pee on that exact spot, so during all the scenes during shooting.
- Yep.
- Prince makes his way over to the lovely, the lovely silk, Victoria's bed, and he thinks that's where he has to go to the bathroom.
- Because he is a fantastic dog.
- He is a fantastic dog.
- Well trained.
- So well trained.
- Well trained.
