(light piano music) - Jenna's dresses as Victoria in series three are for a woman who is maturer.
- Now, time for bed.
This is new this year, which feels very iconic.
In terms of Victoria aging and moving into I suppose more of the image that people recognize.
We often work from a lot of the portraits.
- [Rosalind] Miraculously, there are two photographs of Victoria in a not dissimilar dress, and we use this in the final episodes.
- I love the more military uniforms that she gets to wear, particularly her riding garbs.
And the Osborne look as well, the Osborne feel, a bit more of summer wear, there's a lot of beautiful silk and ruffle fabrics and the big straw boater hats.
She had a real love for fabrics and creating dresses and sketching them out and was very involved really.
My dress is pink and so is Vicky's.
This one in particular I'm wearing now is her Great Exhibition dress.
- This dress actually still exists, but it's faded to a very dingy beige, but if you go and look at the real dress, which is actually in the Museum of London, and you can go back-stage and look at it and see inside the pleats of the dress, it's this marvelous bright pink.
We evolved a sort of striped version so we have panels of the spots and then panels of this brocadey fabric.
Putting it all together it makes a marvelous dramatic version of this great day at the Great Exhibition when it was first opened.
