About the Show
2021
Two-time Academy Award®–winner Glenda Jackson stars as a woman determined to find her missing friend before her own dementia erases all clues in this adaptation of Emma Healey’s acclaimed novel. Jackson earned both 2020’s International Emmy Award and 2020’s British Academy of Film and Television Arts Award for her lead performance. “Equal parts sensitivity and suspense, Elizabeth is Missing displays an emotional range that is sometimes uncommon in crime by interweaving it with an intensely personal drama. The result is mesmerizing,” says Salon.com.
The renowned Glenda Jackson plays feisty grandmother Maud Horsham, who lives alone despite early-stage Alzheimer’s. The cast also includes Maggie Steed (EastEnders) as Maud’s only friend, Elizabeth, who’s gone ominously missing. Helen Behan (The Virtues) plays Maud’s dutiful daughter, Helen, and Nell Williams (Blinded by the Light) is Maud’s doting granddaughter, Katy.
