6 Things to Look Forward to in Miss Scarlet Season 6
Miss Scarlet Season 6 is just around the corner — available to stream early with PBS Passport starting December 7, then premiering on broadcast on Sunday, January 11, 2026 at 8/7c — so we're sharing six teasers from the all-new season to look forward to! More sparks, more crime, and more of your favorites are officially coming your way — read on to find out more.
Romance in Bloom
When Alexander Blake arrived on the scene in Season 5, with his gruff manner and no-nonsense, rule-following ways, Eliza quickly found out that he was going to be a tough — maybe even impossible — nut to crack. But that didn't deter her from trying, and eventually, Blake warmed to her...and she to him. Sparks were undeniable, and in the final scene of the season, we saw Blake inviting Eliza into his home.
As Season 6 opens, Eliza and Blake's relationship has progressed into something more, but something secret from everyone around them. How long can their relationship stay under wraps? How will their newfound romance affect their ability to work together? And, most importantly, can Eliza really have it all?

Mr. Potts & Ivy's Domestic Life
At the end of Season 5, Ivy and Barnabus Potts finally, joyously (though, not without bumps in the road) were wed. Barnabus was preparing to move into Eliza's home with her and Ivy, and insisted that Eliza now call him Barnabus rather than Mr. Potts, marking a new dawn on their relationship.
In Season 6, the new dynamic in the Scarlet/Potts household is in full force. Eliza finds her newest roommate and their new life amusing and occasionally annoying, but Ivy is happy, which is all she's ever wanted for her friend and mother figure, so she embraces the change...for the most part, anyway. Will there be more bumps in the road? That remains to be seen.

New Characters
Fitzroy has departed from Scotland Yard, and Phelps has taken a job with the City of London Police, but never fear — a young, new detective by the name of George Willows from the Bow Street Division has joined the team. As chance may have it, Willows' first day in the office also marks the first time he meets a young woman who is new to the clerical office and catches his eye — a nice welcome to his new workplace, to say the least. How will Willows fit in with the team? Only time will tell.

...And a Surprising Familiar Face!
A familiar blast from the past character is back on the scene — and our screens — for the first time since Season 3, much to Eliza's delight. But how will the return of her former street-wise friend and ally go over with Clarence, her newest right-hand man? Will they be rivals for Eliza's favor, reluctant partners, fast friends, or something in between?

New Crimes to Solve
A new season means new crimes to be solved for our favorite female detective, Blake and his team at Scotland Yard each week. A psychiatric patient on the loose, a missing racehorse, blackmail, a treasure hunt, and much more are ahead — no dull moments to be had.

Eliza's Newest Role
As Eliza and Blake's relationship evolves, so too does the relationship between Eliza and Blake's young daughter Sophia. When they previously met, Sophia was quite the fan of Eliza's, and vice versa, but with such big changes between Eliza and Sophia's father, how will Sophia react? Will Eliza fill the missing motherly hole in Sophia's life?
