    While Ross verbally spars with George, Demelza secretly births the newest Poldark. No doctor, no problem! In a heartwarming moment, Ross looks on his new baby daughter with wonder. If Clowance’s parents are any indicator, she’s sure to be fit, fiery, and great on a horse.

    Something Wicked This Way Comes

    Reptile alert! When the sleazy, swaggering Osborne Whitworth arrives on the scene, it’s immediately clear that he’s up to no good. The newly widowed reverend has his eye on Morwenna, and his lecherous behavior suggest his “love” is anything but pure. Unfortunately, George is dazzled by Osborne’s influential family name, and Elizabeth’s lovely niece is the perfect bargaining chip. Will anyone come to her rescue?

    Charitable Giving

    Months of starvation have taken their toll in Cornwall, where cold weather and empty bellies have the locals fatally ill. Ross Poldark & Co. hatch a plan to raise funds through charitable donations, then buy grain at wholesale prices for redistribution. Demelza and Caroline don their biggest hats and become “highwaymen” for the cause, using warm smiles and some friendly coercion to rake the donations in.

    Dwight's Hopeless Moment

    Lest we forget, poor Dwight has spent months in a French prison–freezing, starving, and in constant risk of execution. The despair weighs heavily on him as he thinks of his beloved Caroline and breaks down in sobs.

    Drake and Morwenna, Sittin’ By the Sea…

    Finally, the kiss we’ve all been waiting for! Despite the threat of engagement to Osborne Whitworth, Morwenna and Drake meet for a secret seaside rendezvous.
