    What Happens in Grantchester Season 10

    We rejoin our extended Grantchester family in 1962, encountering everything from the dawn of computers to the novelty of pockets in women’s clothes. Murder takes center stage of course, and Geordie taps into Alphy’s intuition to probe homicides on church grounds, in a foundling home, within the police station itself, and more.

    Meanwhile, count on deeply moving, gratifying storylines for each character, exploring themes of parents and children, identity, and living one’s values.     Episode 1
    A suspicious death interrupts the Grantchester Easter celebrations. Alphy attempts to use the case as a distraction from his personal life.

    Episode 2
    A death at the university plunges Geordie and Alphy into a world of academic adversaries. Alphy encounters a complication in his romantic life.

    Episode 3
    Alphy’s attempts to cook a romantic dinner are interrupted when a familiar face arrives unannounced at the vicarage.

    Episode 4
    Alphy and Geordie investigate witchcraft at a home for orphaned and disadvantaged children run by an old friend of Alphy’s. When a body is found, Alphy struggles to consider his friend as a suspect.

    Episode 5
    Leonard’s drinking lands him in a prison cell overnight. When he wakes up, the consequences only escalate from there.

    Episode 6
    Alphy and Geordie investigate when a member of a rock band is murdered. Alphy struggles with some family history.

    Episode 7
    Cathy and Mrs. Chapman’s new business venture hits a serious obstacle. Geordie tries to intervene in Alphy’s personal life, unbeknownst to Alphy.

    Episode 8
    Alphy and Geordie keep an eye on rising tensions as a controversial figure is invited to speak at the university. When a murder is committed, however, they disagree on how to approach the case.

    Cast & Characters in Grantchester Season 10

    We’re dying for the whole crew to return (pun fully intended) and we’re in luck! Long-time favorite Robson Green and breakout star Rishi Nair return to lead the cast in Season 10. Joining them are Kacey Ainsworth as Cathy Keating, Tessa Peake-Jones and Nick Brimble as Mrs. and Mr. Chapman, Al Weaver as Leonard Finch, Oliver Dimsdale as Daniel Marlowe, Bradley Hall as Larry Peters, and Melissa Johns as Miss Scott.

    The new face in Season 10 is Scottish actor Christie Russell-Brown playing Meg Grey, a university librarian who catches Alphy’s eye. “It’s my first ever TV job and … I’ve been welcomed with open arms by every single person,” Russell-Brown tells MASTERPIECE. “I’m going to cry if I talk about it too much! I’m properly part of the little Grantchester family.”
