Over coat, with only the top two buttons fastened
Suit and tie (*if you don’t have an over coat, the same rule of fastening only two buttons will apply to the suit jacket)

Bonus points for sporting a mustache like Morse did in Season 6. (We’ll accept drawn on, store bought, real deal…any way you do it earns you points!)

Black turtleneck or mock neck shirt
Black pants
Black belt
(Optional) Bonus points for carrying around some Russian literature or a book of poetry, written either by a famous writer or yourself — the choice is yours! Extra bonus points if you recite the poetry aloud, whether to friends, strangers, or all of the above.
