The Gold Season 2: Airdate and First Look Images

The Gold will return to MASTERPIECE for its second and final season on October 18, 2026 at 10/9c. While you wait, find out what’s ahead in Season 2, and see some first look images from the upcoming season.

The Gold’s second and final season chases answers as to the whereabouts of over three tons of stolen gold bullion. Season 1 addressed the jaw-dropping Brink’s-Mat robbery itself and how £26 million worth of bullion was smelted and sold back into the system. Season 2 picks up as police — portrayed by Hugh Bonneville (Downton Abbey, Paddington), Charlotte Spencer (Sanditon), and Emun Elliott (Guilt) — realize they were only ever chasing half of what was stolen. Stars Jack Lowden (Slow Horses) and Tom Cullen (Becoming Elizabeth) also return for Season 2.
