Río El Genio
This river flowing into Wafer Bay was named after the French brigantine Le
Genie, which paused at Cocos in 1846. Deep pits gouge the river's forested
banks—the calling cards of treasure hunters over the centuries. A short hike
up the banks of this swift stream bring you to a 25-foot waterfall
plunging into an ideal swimhole.
