Mt. Yglesias
Named after a former president of Costa Rica, this 2,092-foot peak is the
island's loftiest. The hike to it is long and arduous, winding through dense
rainforest with entangling vines and shrubbery. But the view from the summit,
where you can sign your John Hancock in a visitors' book, is magnificent, and
on the way you can view the wreck of a B-24 that crashed in the jungle.
