Pearls of Wisdom

The program describes some of the environmental and commercial challenges faced by pearl farmers in Japan and Australia. Based on what you have seen in the program and on your own ideas, offer solutions to the problems. Then create a chart like this one on a separate sheet of paper and recommend solutions you think would help both the pearl farmers and the ecosystem that they depend on for their business.

Description of problem:	If problem was solved, what was the solution? If not, what solution would you suggest?	How will or would this solution benefit the natural environment?	How will or would this solution benefit the business environment?	What, if any, are the disadvantages to this solution?
