Of all the species on Earth, only humans try to explain who they are
and how they came to be, through the prisms of both science and
religion. Today, the theory of evolution is dogged by this tension.
This program explores the controversy by drawing on real human
stories of people struggling to find a balance between religion and
science. Through their perceptions, the film underscores the point
that these realms are compatible, although they play very different
roles in assigning order to the universe and a purpose to life.
