Tom Talavage An associate professor of electrical and computer engineering at Purdue University, Dr. Talavage is the founding co-director of the Purdue MRI Facility and an author of a landmark study [PDF] that found cognitive damage in the brains of high school football players.

Doug Casa is a professor of kinesiology at the University of Connecticut. A leading expert on heatstroke, he is the chief operating officer of the Korey Stringer Institute, named for the Minnesota Vikings' offensive lineman who died of heatstroke in 2001.
