I’m really fortunate to have been raised by parents in Canada who supported my goals and from an early age, and to have been raised in an environment where ambition was encouraged and rewarded. The obstacles I faced growing up were often ones that I could overcome with hard work, and my professional development has been aided by employers who support individual growth regardless of gender, ethnicity or socioeconomic background.
