Silicon Valley and immigration

Silicon Valley continues to be the world’s predominant technology center, and is home to both established companies and budding start-ups. For Rep. Zoe Lofgren (D-Calif.), foreign entrepreneurs are the driving force behind the region’s technological creativity and job creation. However, visa complications might jeopardize the Valley’s future, especially if these foreign entrepreneurs decide to take their businesses and jobs overseas.

Rep. Lofgren talked to Need to Know’s Rick Karr about the complex visa issues involved and her proposed solutions.
