A new poll from the Public Religion Research Institute finds sharp divides among likely religious voters. Sixty-six percent of white evangelicals say they’ll vote for Trump, compared to only 17 percent for Clinton. The others said they didn’t know or were supporting another candidate. Nearly half of white Catholics are supporting Trump, with about four in ten supporting Clinton. The overwhelming majorities of Hispanic Catholics and Black Protestants are for Clinton. Non-Christian voters are also strongly for Clinton.
