Located in Boone, North Carolina, the FARM Caf\u00e9 is a volunteer-operated restaurant whose mission is to Feed All Regardless of Means\u2014anyone who needs a free meal and who can in return offer the caf\u00e9 an hour of volunteer work.\u00a0It\u2019s the ministry of executive chef Renee Boughman, who felt called five years ago to feed the hungry.\u00a0The FARM Cafe \u201cgives people the chance to practice being human,\u201d says Boughman. \u201cEverybody feels that sense of coming to the table together, dining together, sharing the meal together.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
