A 22-minute discussion starter tape is available for you to use along with
the written materials. The tape presents four sections that are designed to
accompany each of the sessions in the guide. The video tape sews together
individuals' answers to questions like those your group will be addressing,
and the perspectives contained in the video may round out those presented by
your group members.
Here are some suggestions for working the video clips into your study circle:
Ahead of time, make sure you have a working VCR and television at the
study circle site.
If you can, watch the tape before your discussions begin.
We recommend that, as a group, you view one section of the video at a time
(rather than watching the 20-minute tape straight-through).
You might start with an introduction to the session, and begin the
conversation using the "Discussion starters" listed for each session in this guide Turn on the video tape, and
show the clip for the appropriate session that you are on.
Or start with the video clip, and follow with the discussion starters.
Be prepared to rewind the tape and view a segment again, if that seems helpful.
