Association for Independent Video and Film
A national not-for-profit membership support organization for independent media producers. Publishes monthly magazine, The Independent.

Bay Area Video Coalition (BAVC)
Based in San Francisco, BAVC is the nation's largest local media arts center, and has provided subsidized state-of-the-art production and editing facilities to CET.

Film Arts Foundation (FAF)
Also based in San Francisco, FAF is the primary support organization for independent filmmakers in northern California. Publishes monthly magazine, Release Print.

Independent Television Service (ITVS)
Funded by the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, ITVS supports the production of independent films for PBS broadcast.

National Alliance for Media Arts and Culture (NAMAC)
The umbrella organization for the nation's not-for-profit media arts centers. The web site includes an extensive directory of member organizations and other resources.


The National Asian American Telecommunciations Association (NAATA)
Funded by the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, NAATA presents media works by and about Asian Americans on public television, and features the most extensive collection of Asian Pacific American educational media programs available for sale or rent. Also hosts annual San Francisco International Asian American Film Festival.

Visual Communications
Based in Los Angeles, Visual Communications is a not-for-profit media arts center dedicated to the creation, presentation, preservation and support of media works by and about Asian Pacific Americans. Hosts annual Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival.

The Asian Educational Media Service
A service of the Center for East Asian and Pacific Studies at the University of Illiniois, AEMS offers an online searchable database with information about a wide array of educational media dealing with Asia.
