Baseball will always be memories my father and growing up a proud Yankee fan. My father was one of three brothers, each with a team to root for in the 1930s, brought up around E. 95th St. in NYC. Luckily, my Dad got the Yankees, therefore, when I was born I was raised a Yankee fan. My father started his scrapbook as a 12 year old in 1937 and that is where I learned baseball; the Yankee lineups of '37, '38, and '39 and players from the 40s. This was glorious baseball, Gehrig, Lazzeri, Joe "Flash" Gordon, Bill Dickey and then Yogi Berra and Joe DiMaggio, Whitey Ford and the Scooter.
