The Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund
The Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund, a non profit organization, was authorized by Congress to build the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in 1979. The Wall, as it has come to be known, was inscribed with all of the names of military personnel killed in the Vietnam War, and was completed in 1982.
