Download The Civil War screensaver to experience some of the powerful imagery of the Ken Burns film on your home or office computer.

Windows: (2.1 Mb)
Macintosh: (1.2 Mb)

Installation Instructions - Windows:
  1. Click here to download the screensaver.
  2. Double-click on the civilwar-screensaver.exe file, and close the confirmation window that appears.
  3. The installation program should have automatically set the new screensaver to be your default screensaver.
  4. If it did not, open Start -> Settings -> Control Panel -> Display and select the "Screen Saver" tab. Make sure the "Civil War" screen saver is selected, and click OK.


Installation Instructions - Mac:
  1. Click here to download the Mac version.
  2. Double-click on the "civilwar" file, and adjust the timing if you wish.
  3. Place the file in the Control Panels folder in your System Folder.
  4. Turn off any other screen savers that may be running.
  5. You can delete the "civilwar-screensaver.hqx" file once "civilwar" has been extracted.
