Tomb of Amenhotep III

Amenhotep III was buried in a tomb in the remote Western valley, an offshoot of the Valley of the Kings. This was one of the largest of the New Kingdom tombs but was emptied in antiquity. Given his wealth and longevity it seems probable that his was the most magnificent burial of any Egyptian king.
