| Egyptian soldiers arrive in Punt
In the 9th year of her reign, Hatshepsut launched an expedition to Punt, a kingdom situated along the Eritrean/Ethiopian coast. Five impressive Egyptian sailing ships, manned by marines and loaded with trinkets, arrived in Punt in pursuit of its rumoured great wealth. |
