Mission to Punt

The walls of Hatshepsut's temple proclaimed the mission to Punt to have been a triumphant success. The reliefs depicted the exotic treasures her soldiers bought back to her. Hatshepsut exclaimed on the walls of her temple:

"Look, they are returning and they have bought something truly amazing! Trees heavy with fresh incense ready to plant. Ebonine, precious ivory, baboons, monkeys and dogs, countless Leopold skins, even slaves and children. Nothing like this has ever happened to another king of Egypt."
