The Small Temple at Abu Simbel belonged to Queen Nefertari. Two
colossal Nefertaris appear on the facade, outnumbered by four colossal
Ramesses.
The facade explains: 'Ramesses II has made a temple, excavated
in the mountain, of eternal workmanship ... for the Chief Queen
Nefertari Beloved of Mut ... for whom the sun shines.'
