DOMITIAN ERA (81-96)
81 AD - Titus' death and succession.
After just two years as emperor, Titus dies of a fever. He is possibly poisoned by his doctor, Valens, on the orders of his brother, Domitian. The Senate declares Titus to be a god and he is succeeded by Domitian.
